Final Document Online Book Club - dates announced

We are excited to announce our Online Bookclub Series - ‘Reading the Final Synod Document Together’ - will be launching in May 2025.
The Final Document, called 'For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, Mission' outlined the recommendations from the Assembly in Rome to Pope Francis, who has taken this into church teaching and asked us all to implement. The Document is beautiful but rather technical in places, so the School for Synodality has organised an online bookclub with a global cast of experts to help us reflect on it together.
Many of you may also recall the School for Synodality held a series of webinars in autumn 2023 called ‘Practising Synodality’, with guest speakers exploring a variety of topics (which you can watch here >>).
In a similar style, Avril Baigent will have invited speakers for each session to explore sections of the Final Synod Document and unpack it, with time for questions afterwards. Keep these dates in your diaries and register for the link for the live webinars on YouTube. The sessions will also be available on youtube afterwards so that you can watch them in your own time/reflect together with a local group.
