Keynote speech at St Vincent de Paul Society’s National Meeting 2023

The St Vincent de Paul Society (England and Wales) annual meeting brought together experts and thought leaders from across the faith, poverty, social justice, asylum, academic and environmental sectors for a three-day event between 22nd -24th June 2023.

Avril Baigent from the School for Synodality addressed the event, alongside the other guest speakers: Jenny Sinclair, founder of ‘Together for the Common Good’, Halford Mackinder University of Oxford Professor Danny Dorling, leader of SVP in South Sudan Dr Betram Kuol, assistant professor of Receptive Ecumenism CCS Dr Greg Ryan, and honorary fellow of Durham University Dr Maria Exall.

In addition to keynote addresses, the annual meeting gave the opportunity for various breakout sessions, networking, and a celebratory Mass led by Bishop Tom Williams.
